Hiran,(insidesomalia.org)-The Somali parliamentarians who hail from Hiran region in central Somalia urged the two sides who in war to stop fighting over the innocent people.

In the past couple of days there were recurrent waves of combats between the Islamists and the Ethiopian troops in the region, and in the course of the battle massive number of the resident of Baladweyn town have fled from their houses and many more were killed and their bodies remained on the streets of Baladweyn for couple of days before been buried.

It is the first time for members of the Somali parliament who hail from Hiran region to officially comment about this war which was happening in a region of their origin.

The parliamentarians in one voiced said that they are condemning that awful act which many precious lives were lost and many other valuable things were destroyed.

“We are asking the two sides who are fighting upon the poor innocent people to halt their fight without condition and to pull out from the region” said Hassan Mahamud 

These parliamentarians also appealed from the humanitarian organizations to extend humanitarian hand to these scattered people in some parts of the region especially in the jungle around the town of Baladweyn.   

This joint press conference by the Hiran appointed parliamentarians coincides with time when there was dreadful combat between the Ethiopian troops and the Islamic forces in Hiran region in past few days which many people were have either died in crossfire or Ethiopian barrage.
